Are the Birthers Right, Obama?

When he announced that he would produce Barack Hussein Obama's Hawaiian birth certificate, newly inaugurated Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie, a political confidant of Mr. Obama, said that the "birth certificate issue will have 'political implications' for the next presidential election that we simply 'cannot have.'"

Too bad Governor Abercrombie didn't take the time to investigate and see if there was a long-form, doctor-issued birth certificate on file for Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. anywhere in the Hawaiian birth archive before making that statement. Because his search resulted in an admission that no long-form birth certificate for Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. appears to exist in Hawaii.

Finally, those Americans who were convinced that Abercrombie was going to produce what MILLIONS of Americans have been asking for---Obama's long-form, original, doctor-witnessed birth certificate would suddenly appear and a million "birthers" would be embarrassed. That was then. This is now.

Governor Abercrombie suggested in a published interview that the long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health. Questioned by the media, he admitted that his search failed to produce the elusive birth certificate.

The United States Justice Foundation (USJF) has been hammering this question home for over two years. Either Barack Obama is a natural-born American citizen, or he is not! Either a legitimate Hawaiian birth certificate exists, or it does not!

  1. Obama has already shown the official birth certificate of Hawaii. Yes, the Certification of Live Birth is the official birth certificate, used by thousands of people every year. And THREE officials in the Republican governor's administration confirmed the facts on Obama's birth certificate that he was born in Hawaii in 1961.

Abercrombie also never said (or even "suggested") that he could not find the original birth certificate. That was only WND saying that he said it. The original birth certificate is in the file, as two Republican officials stated in their first of two confirmations.

Hawaii simply does not send out the original anymore, and has not done so since the Certification became the official birth certificate in 2001. You have every right to petition Hawaii to change that regulation, and when and if the original is shown, it will show that Obama was born in Hawaii, as the officials have said. Until then, the facts remain that Obama has shown the official birth certificate and three officials have confirmed the facts on it.

  2. "Abercrombie also never said (or even "suggested") that he could not find the original birth certificate." And you know this how?

"Hawaii simply does not send out the original anymore, and has not done so since the Certification became the official birth certificate in 2001."

I think you miss the point that if such a document exists, as you insist, and if as you say it has been viewed by three Republicans, why in the world doesn't Obama put this to rest once and for all and ask Hawaii to release the document to the public at large? Until that happens the man on the street will always wonder why such a simple solution has not been effected. Without that public disclosure, there will always be some doubt about the situation. I wouldn't bet a lot of money on a foreign birth but I will remain cynical about the failure of disclosure to the public. What is Obama hiding? Surely you are not suggesting that Hawaii would not comply with a request from the President to release the document. The Hawaian regulations are irrelevant when it comes to the president of the United States.

  3. I understand that Hawaii may issue a certificate of live birth even to those who are not born there hence the interest in the long form filled out by the doctor.
